Current citizenship and naturalisation policies are said to have been object to extensive liberalisation processes, so that they are similar. Is this the case when comparing Denmark and Germany? If there is a similar system in place, does that mean that the underlying considerations- i.e. discourses of civcness, are the same? Are current policies determined by the same historical conditions? Are the systems actually alike or to they only look alike? This recording introduces the current policies, gives a historical overview and compares the level of liberalism in Germany and Denmark in order to answer those questions.
