English Language Arts: Grade 5

In Grade 5, students quote what they have read and are able to compare texts from the same genre or contrast characters in a story. When writing, they logically organize support for their ideas and use evidence from their reading to make a point. They summarize text and presentations and use correct grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
