Explore current structures and systems for building and optimizing professional learning communities (PLCs) for maximum effectiveness. Evaluate your own PLC using adult and social learning theory and analyze the impact of your PLC on both your teachers and  your students. 

During this course you will build

  • An evaluation of  your PLC aligned to adult and social learning theory 
  • An analysis of the impact of your PLC on both the teacher and the student 
  • A PDSA collaborative activity that aligns to one of your student or teacher goals.

I liked that the course wasn't isn't about how to use my iPad. It is about understanding why and when digital tools can help me to engage and support my students better.

I really like that the course makes me accountable for my own learning. I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues but it is nice that I don't need to wait for someone else to move on with my learning.
