2nd Semester, Unit 2: Newton's Laws of Motion

Standards: 14a, 14b; Accelerated: 14a, 14b, SPS8, SPS8b Students will be able to determine the relationship between forces, mass, and the motion of objects. They will also demonstrate and explain the effect of balanced and unbalanced forces on an object in terms of gravity, inertia, and friction. Students will determine the relationships among force, mass, and motion. Finally, students will apply Newton’s Laws to everyday experiences. Directions for completing your "homework" Now that we have finished 1st semester and you are comfortable watching videos, I am adding a little bit more to your work load. I introduced it to you in class already. Here are the steps to have done by the due date on your Unit Plan. 1. Watch and take notes 2. Complete the Summarizing Questions. They are located under the video and should be written in your notebook under your notes. 3. Write 1 question using the questions on the back of the Unit Plan to help you. That is it. Bring those three things everyday to class and you will be able to do the fun activities for the day. Otherwise, you will be doing the above in class and missing out on the activities. The videos are no longer youtube videos, so you can watch them on any computer in class.
