Philosophy

Is there life after death? How do we know that our perceptions are real? Who or what defines good and evil? Philosophy asks the big questions about our existence, knowledge, and values. The beauty of Philosophy is that there are no easy or straightforward answers, yet we feel the need to explore these questions. From Aesthetics to Ethics, philosophers seek to explain what makes something beautiful, or why we should care about how society acts. Philosophical questions can have heavy importance on how societies define themselves. Political philosophy influences how governments rule their people, and what values they seek to impose on its citizens. Studying Philosophy encourages the critical thinker inside of us. We all know something, and we want to learn more – Philosophy helps us question our knowledge as we discover new things about the world.
