Another from me! Student home

Right now I have a page pulled up that has the Web address www.sophia.org/home-student (I am logged in) and it is an excellent page with all my work on my flipped classroom certification and progress in all the playlists I've done very cleanly delineated and also the quiz at the bottom about how I learn, too, which I love. The problem is I have no idea how I just got to this page and have searched for quite some time. I am planning on making a screencast to introduce the kids to sophia and this is a very valuable page, and I would like to show them how to navigate to it.

BTW - let me know when you publish it so we can share it out to other teachers in the community if you don't mind. Your idea is fantastic!

Hi Tammy,
This is probably the page referred to as the student homebase page. Just like your teacher page when you log in, this is what the student sees when they log in already. (the two are separate populations with different needs)

It seems you probably got there the same way I hack around a site I like. Have the time, I never know where I am!

Anyhow, the easiest way to always have access to it is to have a second account you make for yourself and check student when you register.

Another way you might want to go just for the screencast is to go into your profile and click on the public information tab. Once there, scroll to the very bottom, and you'll see the option for student. Click here and your homepage changes!! Easy to change back as well. Same data is collected, just presented differently to each. Another page you should show them is the summary page everyone has under the tab.

FYI - we are currently spending some time redesigning these pages for users so they are even cooler, so if you do screencasts, you might want to keep an eye open for when they do change.

Let me know what else I can help you with!
