Video with writing problems?
Tammy Keilman
Hi! I want to be able to take a worksheet, write up some of the problems with explanations on video with the worksheet, and post it here as a possible "Help Me!" answer key after assignments on tutorials, but I don't know how or what to use. I have a doc camera, but it's at school and I usually get my work done here at home. I have a PC, an iPad, and a Samsung Galaxy Note II here at home. Any ideas?

Hi Tammy,
In case you are still wondering, one option your could use would be to create a screencast of yourself working on the problem and record yourself using the Sophia screencapture tool. Then simply insert that video below your tutorial as a separate video. You'll probably need a tablet device hooked up to your PC for this to work.

A second option is that you can actually pull up the worksheet in an App called ExplainEverything (cost $2.99 in iTunes store), work on the problems, and record everything at the same time. When you are done, simply save your work to a drive of your choosing and then upload to Sophia. It may be helpful to have a cloud based drive (e.g. Dropbox) so that you can easily access your videos from anywhere.

Hope that helps,
Parmanand

Thanks, everyone! I'll definitely look into the tablet. And yes, Parmanand, the Expalin Everything was exactly what I was looking for!

Have you tried one of the whiteboard apps on your ipad? Such as ShowMe or Educreations? You can pull up a document while speaking and writing on it. You can easily place the file in Sophia as a link or embed it.

I bought one of these. http://www.makayama.com/moviemount.html In theory it could turn your iPad into a "document camera" for home. It is available on Amazon too. http://www.amazon.com/Makayama-Movie-Mount-iPad-3/dp/B008L7F7SY Only other home option would be to have someone film you on your ipad while you did the worksheet.

Not totally sure what you are asking. But here is a FREE scanner app for iOS that may help you with creating the worksheet to post. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/scanner-pro-by-readdle/id333710667?mt=8

Or you can create videos with questions at educanon.com and embed them into Sophia tutorials. Let me know more.

I want to show myself physically working through some example problems on a worksheet in a video so that I can have that video as a "Help Me!" video posted (not just an answer key, but the work through in the video) in case they get stuck. How do I film myself doing that and get it here on sophia?
