4th Grade Identity Unit - Lesson on Natural Resources

Author: Sarah Sherrill
Description:

Students will be able to explain what a natural resource is as well as provide examples. Students will then be able to illustrate a map of natural resources found across North Carolina and make connections to how these affect different cultural groups.

The flipped component of this lesson is to teach students about natural resources. This will prepare students for the in-class activity in which they will be looking for natural resources across North Carolina. Students will then analyze how different resources have affected and shaped the identities of different cultural groups.
