NOTE:  To EVALUATE integrals:   FTC 2 (anti-differentiation)  or geometric area calculations provide exact answers. When neither of these options are possible (for example when we have data values only or a bizzare function) we use APPROXIMATION methods.  These include LRAM, RRAM, MRAM, and the two in today's lesson.

Objectives:

• Determine how to approximate area using the Trapezoid Rule
• Determine how to approximate area using Simpson's Rule
• Determine which conditions must exist to use Simpson's Rule and when its application is the most appropriate.
