Rules to follow in measurements
1. The more decimals in the recorded measurement, the greater the precision of the instrument.
2. The more divisions a piece of equipment has, the greater the precision of the instrument.
3. The measurement scale on the instrument should be read with the last digit of the recorded measurement being estimated.
