GCSE revision video to describe the structure and possible uses of the fullerenes.
Nanoparticles are everywhere around us and as we advance we have developed the need for great, new technology in measuring these particles.
Dr Robert Muir and Brian Steer of Naneum Ltd, winner of the 2012 Innovation Award, awarded by the Institute of Physics for developing and commercialising a portable 'scanning mobility particle sizer' for use in atmospheric physics, occupational health and environmental monitoring.
Naneum's device incorporates novel technologies such as a planar differential mobility analyser and miniature condensation particle analyser.
This innovative architecture and fully-integrated system makes the device truly portable and enables in situ environmental monitoring.
