C. NGSS: K-LS1-1: Use observations to describe patterns of what plants and animals (including humans) need to survive. [Clarification Statement: Examples of patterns could include that animals need to take in food but plants do not; the different kinds of food needed by different types of animals; the requirement of plants to have light; and, that all living things need water.]
By the end of the lesson you will know animals live in different kinds of environments and have patterns that help them survive in different kinds of places by answering questions with a partner. You will be able to show you've remembered information by answering questions and lastly you'll be able to talk about different patterns animals need to survive by using your observation skills.
