Community Asset Building 101

Community Asset Building 101

Author: Youth USA
  • Model a measurable human capital asset within the American economy
  • Evaluate an inclusive process for economically challenged citizens.
  • Develop monetization strategy for quantifying asset value.

What is a community asset?  The United States Government (45 CFR, Chapter XXV, § 2520.30) defines “community assets” as information that strengthen our ability to meet community needs.  As a nation "for the people, of the people and by the people"  economic security is our collective responsibility to develop and sustain an inclusive national economy.  This course invites lifelong learners to investigate and quantify American Values in a practical demonstration to reduce the federal debt by increasing community assets where we live, learn, work and/or worship.
