What is HTML5?

HTML5 can be define as a markup language used to present and structure contents of World Wide Web. It is an extension of HTML4 which was created back in 1999. HTML5 is not replacing HTML4 but instead improvises it. It is estimated over 100 specification has been developed and ready to used.

So far we have learned about the HTML5 structure and elements. To create a hyperlink, we will be using one of the HTML5 elements which is element a, short for anchor. The a element is using href (short for hypertext reference) attribute that will link the element a to website address, file name or any part of a file that you specify.
