The creative process is a step-by-step process that designers use to follow a project to completion.
This essentially consists of things like planning, ideation, refinement, production, and more that we'll touch on in later lessons. Artists and designers may be inclined to just jump into a project at times, but it's really important to consider this process in advance because it's going to help you avoid potential obstacles and pitfalls in the future.
EXAMPLE
You are designing the inside of a building, and you did not budget ahead of time. You just realized that glass is too expensive for your budget. Now you're left with a partially decorated building. Or maybe you didn't realize how long painting takes, and you don't get a chance to finish it off by furnishing the design. Or maybe you just didn't take the time to plan out how something inside the building is going to be properly assembled, and now you're left with something that's not only incomplete, but improperly assembled.Having a step-by-step process can release the pressure of a project by breaking it down into multiple tasks.
