Dengue virus (DENV, shown in Fig.1) can cause dengue fever. It is a mosquito-borne, single positive-stranded RNA virus of Flaviviridae. There are four serotypes, including DENV 1, DENV 2, DENV 3, and DENV 4. In recent decades, the outbreak of dengue has grown dramatically in the world. Nowadays, dengue is endemic in more than 100 countries. The America, South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions are the most seriously affected. One of them, Asia represents 70% of the global burden of dengue fever. It is estimated that as many as 390 million infections occur every year, and many dengue infections are increasingly understood to be asymptomatic or subclinical.
