In your practicum/field experience, observe a mentor teacher teaching a lesson using differentiated instructional strategies.
Select one student or a group of students with similar characteristics. Describe additional and appropriate adaptations/modifications that might be necessary for your target student(s) to access the lesson.
Create a PowerPoint presentation of 10-12 slides, not including your title and reference slides, analyzing and presenting your findings. Your slides should include a summary of the lesson observed, a description of the target student(s), and the required modifications. Use the notes section of each slide to elaborate on the content of the slide.
Include at least three resources.
While GCU style format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using GCU documentation guidelines, which can be found in the GCU Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
