The preschool for which you now work is expanding due to increased enrollment. You have been hired as a preschool teacher and you are faced with an empty room to design an age-appropriate environment for an age of your choice.
Choose an age between Birth to Age 5/Pre-K or designate the space as appropriate for a multiage group (identify the ages).
Identify the number of children to be served in the space, and the type and number of caregivers necessary for the space and enrollment (lead teachers, aides, assistants, etc.).
Using Microsoft Word's Draw feature and clip art:
1. Draw the dimensions of the space.
2. Plan the physical layout of the space (placement of tables, chairs, bookcases, storage, other large equipment, doors, windows, etc.).
3. Identify specific learning areas (reading corner, math center, art center, large movement, dramatic play area, etc.).
GCU style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
