In this course, you will develop a learning unit that culminates in Topic 5. The first step in this process is to develop learning goals.
Create a grade/age appropriate learning goal for each of the following: literacy, speech/language, physical/motor, and social/emotional development.
List each goal. Describe what you expect the student will know and be able to do by the end of the unit. Describe the engagement strategies that you will use to achieve the learning goals and identify the aligning standards for each learning goal.
Currently, there are no Federal Learning Developmental Standards for infants and toddlers. For this assignment, use the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards for your students' age group.
If you are working with preschoolers, you may also wish to refer to your state's standards, as some states have learning standards for preschoolers. If your state does not have standards for students ages 3 to 5, refer to the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards.
APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
