What does the Bible say?

What does it mean to “serve”?

Lets see what the Bible says about it...

Romans 12:4-6 NLT

4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.

6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

What are some gifts God has given to you? How can you use them to serve others?

Psalm 100:2 NLT

Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

How should we serve God? What should our attitude be?

Matthew 20:26-28  (NLT)

26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

How should a King treat his servant? How should we treat others who serve us? Who is a person who serves you? How can we show thanks to that person?
