Hi. My name is Ashley, and this lesson is titled Feedback, Reflection, and Gamification. What will you learn today? In this lesson, you will receive the tools to reflect on your gamification lesson.
After you have collected student data as a result of your gamification lesson, use a plus-minus-delta to reflect on the lesson. In the plus section, think about what worked for the students learning. What things went well? Were the students successful at working at their own pace? Were they able to master many of the objectives?
Here in the minus section, this is where you include any obstacles the students had. Did they have trouble staying on task? Was it difficult for them to maneuver through the playlists?
Lastly, in the delta section, this is where you will include any suggestions your students have or any suggestions you have that will allow the gamification process to run smoothly in the future. Would they like more options on the playlist or the opportunity to receive badges or rewards more frequently? Here's where you include it.
Here are some questions to ask yourself. What did I witness students doing during the activities? What does their formative and summative data look like? What were the results of their engagement with gamification? And what reactions did my students have?
Based on the qualitative and quantitative results, did you successfully personalize the lesson for students? Was there an increase engagement, and did your students feel more confident after the lesson? Did you successfully facilitate student mastery of the content? For more information on how to apply what you've learned in this video, please view the additional resources section that accompanies this video presentation. The additional resources section includes hyperlinks useful for applications of the course material, including a brief description of each resource.
