Students will be able determine the distance between 2 points on a coordinate plane by applying the Pythagorean Theorem.

This video lesson will demonstrate how to find the distance between 2 points on a coordinate plane.  Students will first create a right triangle and find the measures of the legs of that triangle by counting the horizontal and vertical units that make up their lengths, and then plug those values into the Pythagorean Theorem to solve for the hypotenuse, which will be the distance between the 2 original points.
