The main idea of a story is the most important or central part.
Summarizing is NOT recopying the story, a summary includes main details and important ideas to create a shorter version of the story.
Individually create a google doc, on your google doc write a short story that is a minimum of 8 sentence. The doc will be shared with 1 partner. Each partner will read the story and try to come up with the main idea their partner was trying to achieve.
