Fun with Functions

Author: Lisa Nickerson
Description:

The objective of today's video lesson is to define what it means for an equation to be a function, how to determine if an equation is a function, how to determine the domain of a function algebraically, and how to evaluate a function (using function notation).

We will be defining what it means for an equation to be a function.  We will compare and contrast functions and non-functions in order to develop the student's understanding of functions.  We will determine whether or not an equation is a function algebraically.  Along with that we will determine the domain of the function.  Lastly, we will evaluate a function using function notation.
