Tutorial

The glaciation age occurred from 600,000 years ago to present day.  The process of glaciation is when large bodies of ice called glaciers advance over land. When bodies of ice advance and retreat in cycles, they are known as ice ages.

When glaciers advance and retreat, they form features on the earth.  Right now, the earth is in the middle of a period of cooling that began 3 million years ago.
