Application Letter, Resume, and Fax Cover Sheet
In this project, you will work with a fax cover sheet, an application letter, and a resume. To complete the project you will create a table, add text to a table, and format tables. You will also insert text from a file, change and reorganize text, use Find and Replace, use proofing tools, and use a template.
For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks:
Start Word. Download and open the file namedgo_w02_grader_a3.docx.
On Page 2, on the second blank line below the line containing St. Petersburg, FL 33713, insert the text from the downloaded file go_w02_grader_a3_text.docx.
Hint: On the INSERT tab, in the Text group, click the Object arrow, and then click Text from File.
Move to the top of the document, and then run a spelling and grammar check on the document. Hint: On the REVIEW tab, in the Proofing group, use the Spelling & Grammar button.
By using the Find whole words only option, replace all instances of ad with advertisement.
Hint: On the HOME tab, in the Editing group, click Replace.
On Page 2, in the paragraph that begins While a student, use the Thesaurus to replace the word users with clients. In the same paragraph, replace the word strategies with its synonym approaches.
Hint: On the REVIEW tab, in the Proofing group, click Thesaurus.
On Page 2, in the paragraph that begins After you have, move the first sentence to the end of the paragraph.
Hint: Drag the selected sentence to the right of the period at the end of the same paragraph.
