Description:

This packet starts with discussion of the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and factoring of the GCF. It then looks at the factoring of the special binomials "Difference of Squares" along with "Difference of Cubes", "Sum of Cubes" and "Perfect Square Trinomials". Moving from these special cases (two and three terms) to four-term polynomials, "Factor by Grouping" is discussed, as this method is used throughout the factoring of trinomials (a = 1 and a ≠ 1).
