Use the health care organization that your team chose in Module 1.
Identify the orientation training needs for new hires of your organization that involve human resources.
Develop an introductory 10-slide PowerPoint outline/presentation with speaker's notes that will be given to new hires describing the detailed trainings that will be needed in your organization (Emergency Preparedness, Benefits, Air-Borne Pathogens, Blood-Borne Pathogens, HIPAA, False Claims Act, Public Health Reporting, etc.).
Conclude with two slides on how you would distribute this training (e.g., handouts, computer based/Web-based/DVD/written materials),considering that all of your personnel/volunteers may not have computer access, are not at the same campus/location, and some individuals may require these materials to be in another language or at a certain academic level/reading level.
While reflecting on how to develop and manage human resources in a health care environment, the student will become aware of some challenges presented to a manager when orientation and training are involved.
