Students should be able to identify heterogeneous mixtures, and further identify whether a heterogeneous mixture is a suspension or colloid. They will understand what the Tyndall effect is, and what brownian motion is. Finally they will be able to give examples of suspensions and colloids
Heterogeneous mixtures are defined, Two types of these mixtures are defined based on their properties. Tests to identify the type of mixture is discussed. Examples of Colloids and suspensions are given.
