Using the Screen Recording Tool in Sophia

Sophia's built in screen recorder is built using Java. To use the screen recorder, you will need to have Java installed and enabled in your browser.  If you're having trouble with the screen recorder - here's a few things you'll want to check:

Is Java installed?  Since this is a java based program, you must install java on your computer. See Java Install Page  for questions about installing and enabling java.

Is Java enabled in your browser?  By default,Java is often disabled in most browsers.  See  http://java.com/en/download/help/enable_browser.xml for help enabling Java on your browser.

What browser are you using?  Java applets can be run in most major browsers. A 64-bit browser (Safari or Firefox, for example) is required to run Java 7 on Mac OSX. 32-bit browsers such as Chrome do not support Java 7 on the Mac platform.

Using the Free Screen Recording

The screen layout has changed since this video was recorded. However, the steps when using the recorder are still consistent with the embedded tool.
