How Seeds Grow

Hello 2nd Graders! It's time to learn about how seeds become plants! We will be performing our own experiments later, but first let's learn about what seeds need to grow.

The growth of a seed into a young plant or seedling is called Germination.


Photosynthesis is the process in which green plants use sunlight to make their own food.
