How to Find Slope-Intercept Form When Given a Slope and Point

Author: Laura Kniffin

Review of Slope

(0/4) = a slope of zero, because zero divided by any number is zero.

*For example, if you had zero cookies to hand out to four people and had to divide that number evenly by each person, each person would get zero cookies.

(4/0) = undefined slope, any number divided by zero is an undefined slope.

*For example, if you had four cookies to hand out evenly to people, but there is no one to hand them out to, it is impossible.
