How To Use Garageband and Google Sites To Podcast

Author: Kimberly Horst
Description:

I love to blog about my classroom, it is mostly a journal for me. I don't think others have seen it too much. But recently I have become more engaged in podcasting. I used my google site and I was able to very easily create a space for just that.

You will need a google account. Most of you have gmail. If you go under google.com you will see other options if you go under the tab called MORE. You will have to drop down a bit to find the word SITE. Click on that word.

Once you've signed in to your Google Account, you can start making your Google site. Here's how:

You will want to develop your site name and create a URL for where it will be found. This can't be changed. So know ahead what you would like to do!

If you are going to use it for education and you want others to see it, then you would select this sharing option, "Everyone in the world can view this site."

Next you will pick a theme for your site. Don't over think it. It can be changed later.

And now, click on all the wavy characters for to get it all up and running!

I am now going to refer you to this website to continue,https://support.google.com/sites/answer/153196?hl=en&ref_topic=23216. Here you will find outlined for you all the last few steps in getting your google site up and running.

Once you do, it is time to get your garage band going.

I like to find a quiet part of my home. It is there that I read stories. I record them on garage band. The garage band app is just under 5$. It is simple to use.

I select the microphone.

I read stories.

I save.

I make music sequences or add from my itunes music or use what garageband already provides.

The final trick now is to put the googlesite and the podcast all together. But it is not that hard. Hopefully you have used the links and you are able to figure it out.

Both garageband and the googlesites have a lot of opportunities for growth. The sky is the limit!
