Identifying Negative Feelings in your Body

When you are having strong negative feelings such as mad, nervous, sad, you may be feeling it in your body.   Pay attention to how your body feels.

  • Head - You may be having a headache or feel           dizzy
  • Eyes - You may have watery eyes and want to            cry
  • Mouth - Your jaw may be clenched
  • Stomach - you may have a stomach ache and            feel like you want to vomit
  • Muscles - Your muscles may feel tight
