Hi. My name is Ashley, and welcome to the introduction to analyzing comprehensive performance assessment and evaluation systems. In this tutorial, we will briefly review the main concepts that you will learn in this unit. This unit will focus on analyzing your school's evaluation system. We'll identify how models reflect the Danielson or Marzano frameworks. We will evaluate components of the evaluation process and reflect on the use of rubrics and feedback in the evaluation process.
This unit will provide lessons on the steps to take to analyze your school evaluation system. We'll use examples and models to explain the domains and how to identify what is expected of you as a teacher in order to receive a proficient rating. These lessons will be especially helpful for you as you go through the observation process.
As we evaluate your school's evaluation system, we'll also identify how models reflect Danielson or Marzano. You will find through this unit that many teacher evaluation models, perhaps even yours, will be similar to the frameworks of Marzano or Danielson in some fashion. We will define the main purpose of both frameworks and then analyze a current teacher evaluation model to identify how it is related.
As we continue to discuss the evaluation process, we'll evaluate components such as feedback, professional learning communities, data, measurement tools, and other components. These lessons will provide you with the tools and understanding your evaluation model and help you to be able to use the components to improve your teaching practices.
What's an evaluation system without reflection? The lessons of this unit will focus on reflecting on rubrics and feedback and how you can use your feedback to create a plan for improvement. We'll demonstrate through models and scenarios on how to use a rubric to rate your performance and how to use a PDSA to make a plan for improvement.
Let's briefly recap the main topics of this unit. The unit will focus on analyzing your school's evaluation system. We'll identify how models reflect the Danielson or Marzano frameworks. We will evaluate components of the evaluation process through models and scenarios. And we'll reflect on the use of rubrics and feedback in the evaluation process.
Once again, welcome to the unit on analyzing comprehensive performance assessment and evaluation systems. You will learn so much about analyzing your evaluation model and how to use it to benefit your teaching practices. Here are some other lessons to look forward to. Good luck.
