Cindy Ebner, MSN, RN, CPHRM, FASHRM

Cindy Ebner Cindy Ebner, MSN, RN, CPHRM, FASHRM is a healthcare executive with over 30+ years of experience in leading quality improvements resulting in better care, lower costs, and improved patient experience.

Ms. Ebner’s specialties range from working across the continuum in quality, risk, and population healthcare management to education in top-rated integrated delivery systems such as Kaiser Permanente and Mercy Health. Most recently, she was the Interim Chief Quality Officer at NCH Healthcare System, where she successfully developed a multi-year Quality Strategic Vision and Plan. At Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, she was Chief Quality Officer from 2017-2018, where she led the safety culture transformation movement resulting in a 50% reduction in overall harm. Previously, Ms. Ebner was a Vice President of Ambulatory Care Management at Mercy Health Select, LLC (Accountable Care Organization), serving Ohio and Kentucky. Ms. Ebner developed an innovative evidenced-based care management model and successfully led the implementation of a Tel-Assurance program across an enterprise to realize significant savings and improved patient outcomes. Ms. Ebner held the position of Director of Education for the Austen BioInnovation Institute of Akron, a collaborative startup company focused on patient-centered innovation and commercialization at the intersection of biomaterials and medicine.

Ms. Ebner completed Harvard Business School Executive Leadership Training and is a graduate of Intermountain Health’s Advanced Training Program for Healthcare Delivery Improvement. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from The University of Akron and is certified in Healthcare Risk Management and a Fellow at American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Melissa Singer Pressman, PhD, MLIS

Melissa Singer Pressman Dr. Melissa Singer Pressman has a passion for higher education and has been teaching for over twenty years. She is a statistician and especially enjoys teaching graduate-level quantitative methods courses. Dr. Singer Pressman has held numerous positions in higher education, including chair, methodologist, and quality reviewer. In addition, she works at the executive-level in the field of clinical research. In her spare time, Dr. Singer Pressman enjoys spending time with her family (she lives in Arizona with her husband and four daughters – ages 3 through 20!), serving local philanthropies, traveling, and cooking.
