The objectives are derived from the Big Ideas tested on the AP Biology Exam.

Big Idea 2: Biological systems utilize free energy and
molecular building blocks to grow, to reproduce and to
maintain dynamic homeostasis. Essential Knowledge 2.A.2

Big Idea 4: Biological systems interact, and these systems
and their interactions possess complex properties. Essential Knowledge 4.A.1

The presentation focuses on Photosynthesis and the reactants and products needed to have the Light Reaction and the Calvin-Bentson Cycle function properly.  At the end of the presentation there are questions that can serve as a formative to determine if the information seen in the presentation was understood.

The Photosynthesis power point displays a discussion on this process. Information will be further broken down to discuss the Light Reaction and the Calvin-Bentson Cycle. The last part of the presentation focuses on plant types and the photosynthetic mechanisms they use in order to adapt to their environment.
