Podcasting: I believe that podcasting is a technology trend that will enhance ELearning strategies immensely. Podcasting gives professors the opportunity to teach their lesson anywhere…literally!! In 2003, Duke University did a study where they gave every incoming freshman an Ipod. Multiple professors began downloading lessons, homework, and extra credit assignments on podcasts for students to use and listen to outside of class…the results were outrageously positive. Podcasting has only grown in the decade since and is now a valuable tool for professors at universities all over the country. I believe this trend will continue to become more and more popular due to its convenience and helpful tactics to both teachers and students.
