Students will be able to describe the different perspectives of psychology and apply their understanding to explain human behavior.
Students will develop an understanding of the different approaches and perspectives of psychology. The class will watch excerpts from the Andrea Yates murder trial and discuss how different perspectives of psychology explain her behavior. In addition, students will apply what they have learned by attempting to explain the behavior of an outrageous celebrity.
Length of time needed: 1 class period (85 minutes)
