I worked for 3M Company for 30 years. I started in the product development laboratories in St. Paul, Minnesota. I found my passion in manufacturing. I progressed from engineering responsibilities into production management. I worked on products familiar to many people like Scotch® tape and Post-It® Notes. I am active in church and community. I currently serve as treasurer on the Board of Directors of OASIS. OASIS is a non-profit in Orland Park that serves the needs of people with visual impairments.
My 3M career reinforced the importance of valuing people unconditionally. I learned that two heads are indeed better than one in identifying better ways to get things done. I enjoy the creativity that emerges from people enjoying what they do. I operate with that environment in my classes.
I have a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign. I received my Master of Business Administration from Keller in 1996. My capstone professor at Keller encouraged me to pursue teaching after graduation. I have taught at Keller for 16 years. I enjoy the enthusiasm of my students.
