Scratch

Author: Alicia Ward
Description:

At the end of the two week unit, students will have an understanding of the basic Scratch programming blocks and be able to put a script together using those blocks to create a computer program.

Students will begin by viewing an introduction PowerPoint about the Scratch program.  Students will then work their way through the screencast tutorials.  Each night students will view 2 or 3 new skills.  They will take notes, and be ready to apply these skills in class the next day.  Students will be given a project-based assessment.  They will be required to create a computer program based on a rubric that incorporates many of the skills learned in the unit.
