This is a discussion about bone tissue, just keep three things in mind: cells, gels, and calcium. You put all of this together and you get a strong substance, i.e. bone. After getting comfortable with the histology of bone it's then important to discuss remodeling which is the concept that bones are constantly adding on layers and stripping off layers of tissue. It's important to understand various factors that can affect this process and the cells that are involved.
