Slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines

Slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines

Author: Marcia Cyr

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to use coordinates to determine if line segments are parallel, perpendicular or neither. students will use this to classify quadrilateral based on whether sides are parallel/ perpendicular.

Students review calculation of slope and then use coordinate geometry to classify quadrilaterals based on parallel/perpendicular sides and diagonal relationships.
