##### Description:

1. To solve quadratic equations by completing the square

In this lesson, you will learn how to turn one side of a quadratic equation into a perfect square trinomial.  This will make it really easy to solve the quadratic equation.  Later, we'll use this completing the square skill to develop the quadratic formula, and even later than that, completing the square will come back to haunt you when we are working with conic sections.
