Author: Hector Soto

Algebra 1 Substitution Method : Linear Algebra Education

This method of solving systems of linear equations uses the transitive property of equality to swap one of the variable terms for its equivalent expression in order to create an equation in just one variable.

How to Solve Linear Equations by Elimination Method : Linear Algebra Education

This method of solving systems of linear equations involves "eliminating", or removing, one of the variable terms by "adding" opposite terms from the two equations. Though the video shows a simplified explanation, sometimes we need to multiply terms on both sides of one of the equations to "make it" have an opposite term that can be subtracted.
