After watching the video, students will demonstrate understanding of the components of a stem and leaf plot by correctly reading the data.

After watching the video, students will be able to correctly identify the mode, or most common number, in the stem and leaf plot.

After viewing this tutorial, students will examine the stem and leaf plot to determine the median, or middle number, of the data. 

Follow the video, students will calculate the range of the data by comparing the greatest and least data points.

In this tutorial, students will build upon their knowledge of stem and leaf plots.  To date, students should understand the components of stem and leaf plots and how to create a plot by using the leading number(s) as the stem and the ones place number as each leaf.  Students should acknowledge the use of a plot key as essential to the understanding of a stem and leaf plot.  In addition, students should have prior knowledge of median, mode, and range including the components of each data analysis tool.

During the tutorial, students will learn how to use a stem and leaf plot to analyze data using median, mode, and range.
