Taking Care of your Body

Author: Kevin Hughes

One of the biggest problems that people face today is obesity. Almost 40% of Americans are obese, and that percentage has only been increasing.

Take preventative measures to ensure that you are not a statistic. Move your body, it is not expendable. Your body is the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19), treat it that way.

Fast food is almost on every corner in town in America. It is hard to avoid fast food sometimes, but there is a huge correlation between eating fast food and being obese. Fast food is 11% of the American diet today.

To prevent this from happening in your life, you need to make a conscience decision to eat healthy. Eating healthy and cooking contrary to popular belief can actually be more affordable than the so called low prices at your local fast food joint.

On top of eating healthy, it is very important to keep your body active. If need be, take small steps; park far away in the parking lot of stores, work, and school.

Bike, hike, walk and run. Ge involved with sports, grab a friend and go to the gym.

The hardest part of it is getting started. Once you get going, you will not want to stop. Gradual increases in the amount of time that you exercise will benefit you exponentially.

Conclusion

Obesity is very prominent in today's society. And in some ways it is not looked at as a problem. It is up to you to make a decision today that you are going to eat healthy and keep your body active.
