Understanding the Crime Time Line

Understanding the Crime Time Line

Author: Jim Ferguson

The student will be able to discuss and explain the investigative process in the form of a time line starting with the crime, what lead up to the crime, the interpretation of the law as it applies to the criminal act, the production of evidence in court and who the punishment phase applies to accused for violation of a law.

Using legal key words, the student will follow the process of a criminal investigation in the form of a investigative time line to understand how justice is served and the accused move through the legal system.
