What is a macromolecule?

Macromolecules

A macromolecule is a large polymer made up of monomers

 

A polymer is a chain of molecules made up of smaller molecules that are all attached to each other or bonded together

 

Monomers are the smaller parts of the polymer

 

Examples of polymers are wool, cotton, silk, plastic, polyester, nylon, proteins, DNA and carbohydrates
