"Hamilton" is currently running on Broadway to major critical and financial acclaim. The goal of this tutorial and lesson plan is using the hip-hop musical as a new way for students to access content relating to the Revolutionary War as well as understanding how themes of the American Revolution are still relevant and popular in today's culture and society. 

Goals: Students will listen to sections of "Hamilton," view the powerpoint covering Hamilton's life and introducing discussion questions.

Students will complete worksheet about the election of 1800 and worksheet about Hamilton's opinions, participation and contribution on the election and the early American era as a whole.
